Mercyhealth is seeking a Registration Clerk for the 2nd shift in a full-time capacity at our Ohio facilities. The role handles high-volume patient registration, admissions, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-end operations with EPIC upon arrival and throughout the patient visit.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate demographic, guarantor, and billing information while maintaining confidentiality and delivering compassionate customer service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Graduate of high school or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of third-party payors preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and admit patients, verify insurance, and schedule appointments.
• Use EPIC to enter demographic, guarantor, and billing information.
• Provide compassionate service while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with pre-admission and pre-registration functions.
• Coordinate with patient financial counselors for self-pay options.
