Job summary

1st Source Corporation in South Bend, IN seeks an accounting professional to perform discretionary financial reporting duties under federal regulations. You will prepare ledger entries, reconciliations, and management reports, support audits, and maintain compliance with banking regulations.

A Bachelor's in Accounting and 3 years of related experience are preferred, with CPA as a plus. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Three (3) years of related accounting or auditing experience preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Knowledge of bank regulatory requirements a plus.
• Knowledge of PC based accounting systems a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management and board reports.
• Review and research management requests.
• Maintain assigned corporate subsidiaries including monthly accounting, reporting, budget, and forecast.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Perform accounting responsibilities for investment portfolio including reporting and disclosures.
• Perform independent review of general ledger account reconciliations.
• Research regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance.
