Job summary

Penn Interactive is seeking a senior Data Engineering leader to guide scalable data pipelines and governance across regulated environments. You will mentor a team, align with regulators, and partner with Analytics, Finance, and Product to drive data initiatives.

The role emphasizes strong CS fundamentals, distributed systems expertise, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in data engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years in a data-oriented leadership or management role, plus 5+ years in software/data development.
• Experience leading teams of 3 engineers or more.
• Experience in regulated environments is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the data engineering team with mentorship and performance guidance.
• Communicate with regulators and set clear expectations.
• Collaborate to build data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling for Analytics initiatives.
• Prioritize and manage data projects across functions from inception to delivery.
• Design and maintain data pipelines and enhance data engineering architecture.
