Job summary

Ascension St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, OK seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess patients, implement care plans, operate respiratory equipment and respond to codes. The role includes monitoring patient conditions, documenting outcomes and educating families. Local travel may be required.

The candidate should have BLS within 30 days of hire and NBRC credentials or equivalent, with preferred ALS, NRP, and PALS credentials increasing opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date or transfer date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Respiratory Care Practitioner or NBRC Respiratory Therapist credentials required before hire/transfer.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred (AAP).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 1 year+ of recent RRT experience.
