Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care across respiratory services, following physician orders. The role offers a night shift, full-time schedule (36 hours/week), and a $20,000 bonus for RRTs.

RTs will train on NICU assignments on a rotating basis, serving as a key clinical resource. Qualified applicants will hold a CoArc-approved respiratory care program, an active RCP license, and NBRC RRT credentials; PALS may be required in ER.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Must hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC); PALS may be required in ER.
• Physical demands include push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Equipment used includes all appropriate respiratory care devices.
• ACLS preferred; critical care experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• All RTs will train on and be assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis.
