Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory services. You will discuss therapy effectiveness with physicians and serve as a resource for the care team. All RTs will rotate through NICU assignments.

Candidates should have an RRT credential and RCP license; ACLS and PALS as applicable; readiness for night shifts within a 36-hour weekly schedule. Mercy offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential (NBRC) required; PALS for ER if in ER.
• ACLS preferred.
• NICU rotation experience or assignment is part of training.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
