Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource to nurses and doctors.

All RTs will train on NICU duties and rotate there. The position offers a full-time schedule (36 hours/week) with night shifts and a $20,000 bonus for RRTs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC; PALS for ER if applicable.
• Ability to meet physical demands (lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and adjustments.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff.
• Rotate to NICU assignments as part of duties.
