Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies per physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness.

RTs will train on and rotate to the NICU, with a night shift and a substantial $20,000 bonus for RRTs. Licensure and NBRC RRT credentials are required, with ACLS preferred and PALS guidance for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• PALS is required for co-workers in the Emergency Room.
• Physical demands include push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• All duties assigned by supervision; rotates to NICU on assignment.
