Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in respiratory therapy and consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will act as a resource for nurses and physicians, and participate in NICU rotations as assigned.

Requirements include a CoARC-approved respiratory care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS is required in ER settings. Night shift, full-time schedule, with a $20,000 signing bonus for RRTs.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). For ER, PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Train and rotate to NICU duties as assigned.
