Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking a dedicated RN for the Urology department on a full-time night shift. The role emphasizes care planning, patient condition monitoring, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days, RN licensure in Texas (or multi-state option) and a nursing diploma. Preferred 1 year Med Surg experience with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in Texas or multi-state license via Nurse Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Care Planning: Implement and track customized, evidence-based patient care plans to optimize recovery.
• Condition Monitoring: Record and communicate real-time clinical updates and condition changes to the care team.
• Interdisciplinary Lead: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, well-aligned patient care.
• Order Execution: Precisely carry out physician and advanced nursing directives with absolute clinical accuracy.
• Transition Strategy: Evaluate and manage complex discharge planning needs to guarantee safe patient transitions.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (GN) obtained prior to start date or job transfer date is required-OR-Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date-OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
