Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX seeks compassionate Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Tech to join the Oncology department on a full-time night shift. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient well-being, and support the healthcare team through accurate documentation and safe patient care.

Minimum requirements include BLS certification within 30 days of hire and a high school diploma or equivalent (or related experience).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care by assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and safe entry or exit protocols.
• Monitor patient well-being by tracking physical, mental, and emotional changes and reporting key findings to nursing staff.
• Ensure accurate documentation by maintaining precise patient records and clinical logs to support the healthcare team.
• Optimize environment safety by keeping patient rooms orderly and ensuring medical equipment is clean and well-maintained.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What Additional Preferences We’re Seeking

• CNA/PCT experience preferred
