Job summary

Complete Care in New Jersey is seeking an RN-Unit Manager to lead the unit's nursing services, oversee daily operations, and mentor our dedicated team. You will ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining compliance and a positive work environment.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, a nursing degree, and at least 3 years in subacute/long-term care. You will collaborate with physicians, manage staffing, and participate in care planning to support residents

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey RN license.
• 3+ years of experience in subacute/long-term care.
• AHA BLS CPR certification recommended.
• LPN may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit.
• Reviews staff complaints and grievances and reports to Director of Nursing as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment to meet resident needs.
• Manages staff, assigns nursing aides, and conducts rounds.
• Provides education to staff, residents, and families as needed.
• Assists in developing assessments of residents' nursing needs.
• Tracks treatments and patient progress per HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinates with supervising physicians for residents' recovery process.
• Ensures staff duties comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing


• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be considered


• Strong leader with 3+ years of experience in subacute/long-term care required

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit


• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff and makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or necessary


• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on the unit at all times to adequately meet resident needs and notifies appropriate personnel of needs


• Manages staff, makes nursing/aide assignments, and conducts nursing rounds throughout the shift and as needed


• Provides education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members


• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident


• Tracks treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines


• Coordinates with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents


• Ensures staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines


• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator
