Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead nursing services on a dedicated unit. You will mentor staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure residents receive high-quality care in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and coordination with physicians to optimize resident recovery and well-being. Excellent communication and hands-on management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires ADN or BSN in Nursing.
• New Jersey RN license current.
• 3+ years in subacute/long-term care.
• LPN may be considered.
• BLS/CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services on the unit.
• Reviews staff complaints and reports to leadership as required.
• Ensures medications, supplies, and equipment are stocked to meet resident needs.
• Manages staff, assigns nursing and aide duties, and conducts rounds.
• Provides education to staff, residents, and families as needed.
• Assists in assessments of residents' nursing needs and care plans.
• Tracks treatments and progress per HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinates with physicians to support recovery and treatment.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines; performs other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Current AHA BLS CPR Certification recommended
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be considered
• Strong leader with 3+ years of experience in subacute/long-term care required

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff and makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or necessary
• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on the unit at all times to adequately meet resident needs and notifies appropriate personnel of needs
• Manages staff, makes nursing/aide assignments, and conducts nursing rounds throughout the shift and as needed
• Provides education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident
• Tracks treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinates with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents
• Ensures staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator
