Job summary

Complete Care is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager in New Jersey to lead daily nursing operations on the unit, mentor staff, and ensure the highest quality of resident care.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in New Jersey, have 3+ years in subacute/long-term care, and be prepared to implement HIPAA guidelines, coordinate with physicians, and support a collaborative, compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• 3+ years of experience in subacute/long-term care.
• BLS CPR certification recommended.
• LPNs may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit.
• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Ensures adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment on the unit.
• Manages staff, assigns nursing duties, and conducts nursing rounds.
• Provides education to staff, residents, and family members as needed.
• Assists in developing resident assessments and tracks treatments per HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinates with supervising physicians to support resident recovery.
• Ensures staff comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Current AHA BLS CPR Certification recommended
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be considered
• Strong leader with 3+ years of experience in subacute/long-term care required

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned unit
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff and makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or necessary
• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on the unit at all times to adequately meet resident needs and notifies appropriate personnel of needs
• Manages staff, makes nursing/aide assignments, and conducts nursing rounds throughout the shift and as needed
• Provides education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident
• Tracks treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinates with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents
• Ensures staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator
