Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Night Registered Nurse for Progressive Care Overflow. This full-time role requires an Associate's degree in nursing, current Kentucky RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS are desirable.

You will provide direct patient care, document care, and collaborate with the care team. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits, tuition and loan assistance, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for clinical ladder growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice; Kentucky license required.
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS desirable.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, treatments.
• Documents care and monitors patient condition; communicates with care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates patient care across transfers, discharges, referrals.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.

• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.

• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.

• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Education:

• Associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License/Certifications:

• Current RN license in state of practice

• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

• BCLS required. ACLS PALS

• Handle with Care preferred
