Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CVU, on a full-time basis with rotating weekends and a 6:30–7:00 shift window. A $15,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment is offered.

The role emphasizes plan of care interventions, documentation, patient monitoring, and multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality care. Education: ADN required, BSN preferred; Kentucky RN license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Kentucky or an active multistate license.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS preferred.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Education

How you'll contribute

What we are looking for:

Education:

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License:

• Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current active multistate license

• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Certifications:

• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS,
