Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky (part of Lifepoint Health) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit. This night-shift, full-time role features a 6:30-7:00 schedule with rotating weekends and comprehensive benefits.

You will deliver direct patient care, follow the nursing process, and contribute to patient education and family communication. Qualifications include an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), current RN license, BCLS,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are preferred or required as stated.
• Handle with Care or equivalent patient handling training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care including medication administration and treatments.
• Documents care and communicates with care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living and nutrition, mobility, and hygiene.
• Coordinates care across disciplines including transfers and discharges.
• Educates patients and families according to age and cultural needs.
• Advocates for patient well-being and participates in continuing education.

How you'll contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Education:Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

License/Certifications:

Current RN license in state of practice

BCLS required.
