Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit. Night shifts, full-time, with a rotating weekends schedule. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a two-year commitment.

As an RN, you will provide direct patient care, perform medication administration, document care, and coordinate with the care team. A nursing degree and an active RN license are required, with BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS required; Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Education:Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
