Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. This full-time position offers a $15,000 sign-on with a two-year commitment and rotating weekends.

The RN will provide direct patient care, participate in the care planning process, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS; ACLS; PALS required; Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors condition; communicates with care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living; maintains patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinates patient care across transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age and culture.

How You'll Contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

License/Certifications

• Current RN license in state of practice
