Mercy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery on 3W at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. You will apply the nursing process to patient care, coordinate with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality.

Requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, MO RN license or compact, BLS (within 30 days), and minimum 2 years of patient care; Bachelor’s degree is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Full-time, 36 hours/week, nights 7:00pm–7:00am.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold an RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• BLS certification required (or within 30 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; supervisor experience preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
