Mercy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri. The schedule is full-time, 36 hours per week, with day shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

The RN will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and coordinate across departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license (state/hospital compact where applicable), and BLS

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
