Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Antepartum and Labor & Delivery. The role involves caring for obstetric patients in high‑acuity units with cross‑training across obstetrics.

The RN provides therapeutic and administrative services under the Nurse Manager/Director to support patient care and the center's mission. Prerequisites include RN licensure with a Diploma, NRP within 6 months, ACLS within 1 year, and BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years Antepartum and L&D experience; high risk OB experience preferred.
• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date (RN).
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director in the antepartum and L&D units.
• Care for obstetric patients undergoing complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth and emergency interventions.
• Receive cross‑training to support all obstetric patients across the units.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years.

Our fast‑paced, high‑acuity, and high‑volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Antepartum units are specialized, critical care environments. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life‑saving decisions. Antepartum and L&D RNs receive cross‑training to support all obstetric patients across the units.

Hours

FULL‑TIME NIGHTS SCHEDULE: (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) 3 12‑hr shifts plus rotating weekends.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
