Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for perinatal and maternal float duties. You will provide patient care under the Nurse Manager, supporting maternal-newborn, neonatal and pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role emphasizes high-quality care, clinical expertise in obstetrics, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active license as Registered Nurse in state of practice or compact license.
• BLS required upon hire.
• NRP certification required within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS and AWHONN fetal monitoring required for applicable units.
• PALS required for Pediatrics.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience in Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery/Antepartum, and Women’s Surgery.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.Exposure to multiple specialties (maternal, neonatal and pediatrics) which includes managing high-risk pregnancies, neonatal care, pediatric support, postpartum recovery and surgical procedures.Fast-paced, high-volume environment that will sharpen critical thinking, time management, and decision-making skills.Join a team with phenomenal leadership that is supportive and engaging and creates a positive work culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS required upon hire.
• NRP certification required within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS and AWHONN Fetal monitoring required for LD/AP.
• PALs required for Pediatrics.
• 2 years acute care experience in Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery / Antepartum, and Women’s Surgery.
