Qualified candidates will have an RN license, 2+ years of L&D experience preferred, and certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and BLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of L&D experience preferred.
• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
• BLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit under supervision.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions.
• Support nursing leadership and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years.
• Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit is a specialized, critical care environment. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life-saving decisions.
• Days Position 3 12-HR shifts a week

What qualifications you will need:

• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BLS upon hire
• Minimum two (2) years L&D experience, high risk OB experience preferred
