This full-time night shift offers 3 twelve-hour shifts with rotating weekends. You will work under the Nurse Manager/Director, provide compassionate care to adolescents and adults, and participate in cross-training across obstetric units.

Qualifications

  • RN with a valid state license and RN Diploma.
  • NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • BLS upon hire; minimum two (2) years Antepartum and L&D experience; high risk OB preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
  • Care for adolescent patients (12–17) and adults (18–50) in L&D/Antepartum; cross-training.
  • Maintain readiness for high-acuity obstetric events.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years.
  • Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Antepartum units are specialized, critical care environments. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life‑saving decisions. Antepartum and L&D RNs receive cross‑training to support all obstetric patients across the units.
  • FULL‑TIME NIGHTS SCHEDULE: (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) 3 12‑hr shifts plus rotating weekends.
What qualifications you will need:

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children’s healthcare services. We offer the region’s only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
