Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care on the Mother Baby unit under supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director. The role supports care for women and newborns in a high-acuity environment.

The position offers 3 rotating night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) across a 12-hour shift schedule, with weekends rotated as needed. BSN preferred; active RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice or active compact license.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BLS certification.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Professional certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
• Provide therapeutic and administrative services to support patient care and unit mission.
• Care for women of childbearing age and newborns on the Mother Baby unit in a fast-paced setting.
• Work the Full-Time Nights schedule: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM; 3 x 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.

The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.The Registered Nurse Mother Baby unit cares for women of childbearing age and newborns.Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Mother Baby unit allows you to provide compassionate couplet care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic, collaborative environment with complex cases and rewarding outcomes.FULL-TIME NIGHTS SCHEDULE: (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
