Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s Mother Baby unit. The RN will provide patient care under the Nurse Manager/Director, delivering therapeutic and administrative services to support safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns.

The role features a full-time night schedule (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with three 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends. BSN is preferred; active RN licensure in state or compact license is required with BLS; NRP

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice and/or holds an active compact license.
• BLS required; NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Professional certification in a specialty area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
• Deliver therapeutic and administrative services necessary for patient care and support the facility's mission.
• Care for patients on the Mother Baby unit, including compassionate couplet care for mothers and newborns.
• Maintain a full-time night schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.

The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

The Registered Nurse Mother Baby unit cares for women of childbearing age and newborns.

Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Mother Baby unit allows you to provide compassionate couplet care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic, collaborative environment with complex cases and rewarding outcomes.

FULL-TIME NIGHTS SCHEDULE: (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BLS. NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Professional certification in specialty practice area preferred.
