Overland Park Regional Medical Center seeks a PRN Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to support our high-acuity unit. The RN provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director and delivers comprehensive obstetric services to adolescents and adults according to unit protocols.

The role requires an RN Diploma and certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and BLS, with at least two years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years.
• Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit is a specialized, critical care environment. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life-saving decisions.
• PRN SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule 3 shifts a month up to 3 shifts a week. Night shift (6:45-7:15).

What qualifications you will need:

• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BLS upon hire
• Minimum two (2) years L&D experience, high risk OB experience preferred
