Job summary

The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham, MA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a 4-star facility. You will maintain resident care plans and follow physician orders to ensure high-quality care.

New graduates welcome and English proficiency required. Shifts include 7a-3p, 11p-7a, and 3p-11p with weekly pay between $47-$53 per hour depending on the shift; evenings and weekends include pay

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing or college.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have a current and active RN license in the state.
• New graduates welcome!
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and treatments.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing assistants to ensure that resident care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accurate and comprehensive resident care plans.
• Follow physician's orders and render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure.
• Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsible.
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description

• 11p-7a 24 hours
• 3p-11p 16 hours weekdays

Weekly pay ranging from $47 to $53 an hour, depending on the shift. Evenings, overnights, and weekends come with pay differentials.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Requirements:

• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
• Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills
• Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions
• Must have knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
• Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergencies
