Job summary

Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities by CNAs.

You will follow physician orders, maintain care plans, document nursing notes, and administer medications while ensuring patient-centered, high-quality care within a 57-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have a current RN license in MA or be in the process of obtaining one.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants.
• Follow physician orders and render complete nursing care, treatments, and dressings.
• Transcribe orders promptly and accurately.
• Document nursing notes and visit residents daily to assess needs.
• Maintain medication safety and administer medications as ordered.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in emergency procedures as needed.

Join our team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, a 57-bed all-male skilled nursing facility in Sandisfield, Massachusetts, and make a difference in the lives of our residents!

We are an award-winning facility! Full-time openings on first and second shift, all including every other weekend. Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus available!*

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants to ensure the highest degree of quality care. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to meet the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care
• Follow physician's orders and render complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary
• Administer medication according to procedure
• Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which you are responsible
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description

Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing or college
• Must be CPR certified
• Must have a current and active RN license in the state, or be in the process of obtaining one
