Job summary

Centra Behavioral Health Hospital in Lynchburg, VA, part of Lifepoint Health, is opening a brand-new 72-bed behavioral health facility in 2026. The RN (PRN) position offers a competitive hourly pay range and opportunities to deliver evidence-based care in a compassionate environment.

As an RN, you will assess patients, develop care plans, and document care, while monitoring conditions and administering medications in line with nursing standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required from an accredited nursing program.
• One year or more of behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and document care.
• Monitor changes in condition, respond quickly, and communicate with the care team.
• Administer medications safely and follow hospital policies and nursing standards.
• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care with empathy, dignity, and respect.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Graduate of an accredit nursing school with valid RN licensure.
• Experience: One year or more of behavioral health experience highly preferred.
