Ascension is hiring a Registered Nurse for a postpartum unit in Wichita, KS. This role includes direct patient care, care-plan implementation, and coordination with the care team on nights, with a 36-hour week schedule.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within specified timeframes, plus a Diploma in Nursing. Travel-ready, with a strong focus on patient discharge planning and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• RN license required prior to hire with compact compliance for travel location.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 180 days of hire.
• Diploma from accredited nursing program.
• One year RN experience in acute care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience

• One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
