Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery to lead a high-performing team dedicated to safe, compassionate care for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• 3 years RN experience and 1 year in leadership required.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Kansas required.
• 3+ years in L&D preferred with leadership exposure.

• Lead and empower unit staff: Drive the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of your nursing team to build a high-performing, compassionate care environment.
• Optimize patient care delivery: Resolve operational bottlenecks and streamline workflow to ensure safe, seamless, and high-quality experiences for mothers and newborns.
• Establish modern care standards: Develop and update evidence-based unit policies and procedures to elevate nursing practices and maintain strict regulatory compliance.
• Manage unit operations and fiscal health: Oversee daily activities and direct budget expenditures to ensure your team has the essential resources and staffing required for optimal care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in L&D
• Minimum 1 year of formal experience in an RN leadership role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager).
