Job summary

Ascension’s Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola is seeking a Pediatric Observation Unit RN for mid-shift PRN coverage. The role requires coordinating patient care across disciplines, monitoring plans, and ensuring timely communication of patient status.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
