Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center in Parma, OH, is seeking an RN for our Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care for medical/post-surgical patients on Parma unit.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, PT/OT, and speech therapy.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
