Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an Acute Care RN for the Medical and Post-Surgical Unit. The role requires caring for inpatients with telemetry monitoring and post-surgical needs, including IV insertions and blood draws.

The position offers rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts with weekends/holidays rotation, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BSN (preferred)
• Magnet-recognized professional certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Medical and Post-Surgical patients.
• Monitor telemetry to ensure patient safety.
• Perform IV insertions and blood draws.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a fast-paced unit.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers to deliver coordinated care.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:
