Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center seeks a dedicated RN for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient). You will perform IV insertions, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, and post-surgical care, working 7a-7p or 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying experience. The role includes collaboration with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and therapy staff in a 15-bed unit with trauma support as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current OH RN license.
• Current AHA BLS provider certification or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for medical/post-surgical patients.
• Monitor telemetry and patient status.
• Administer IV therapies and perform blood draws as needed.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers to ensure safe patient care.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
