Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. You will care for medical and post-surgical patients in a 15-bed unit with a Trauma bed as needed, performing IVs, blood draws, and telemetry monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred; Magnet certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care for medical/post-surgical and trauma patients on Parma unit.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and monitor telemetry.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and rehab services to coordinate care.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
