Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit in Parma. The unit handles medical, post-surgical, and trauma patients in a Level 1 trauma center environment with enhanced technology for nursing care.

Shift patterns are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays; bi-weekly hours total 72. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for eligible RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care.
• Telemetry monitoring.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
