The MetroHealth System’s Parma Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Parma Inpatient unit. The role emphasizes acute care for medical, post‑surgical, and trauma patients with telemetry monitoring and skilled nursing procedures.

Responsibilities include IV insertions, blood draws, and delivering high‑quality patient‑centered care, with rotating weekends and holidays. Paramedical teamwork and professional certification support are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA BLS for healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform IV insertions and blood draws as part of post‑surgical care.
• Monitor telemetry and patient status to detect changes quickly.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and the ability to delegate tasks.

Bi‑weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post‑Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post‑surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
