Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center seeks a Registered Nurse for its Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. The RN will support post-surgical and medical patients, perform IVs, blood draws and telemetry, and work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Rotating shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends/holidays; eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for those with qualifying experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (or obtained within 90 days).
• PRN requires 1 year RN experience; certifications required at hire.
• BSN preferred; Magnet-certified education or certification valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing for medical/post-surgical patients.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and telemetry monitoring.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking and delegation.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and therapy teams.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN


• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
