Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center in Ohio is seeking an experienced RN for our Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit in Parma. The role features 72 hours bi-weekly with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) and rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualified candidates will have an Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN roles. We offer tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance with OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Medical, Post-Surgical, and Trauma patients on the Parma unit.
• Monitor telemetry, perform IVs and blood draws, and manage post-surgical care.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and effective delegation.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
