Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient). You will provide specialized nursing care, perform telemetry monitoring, IV insertions, blood draws, and post-surgical care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Shift rotates 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends/holidays. Eligible for sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Parma Inpatient Acute Care unit.
• Monitor telemetry and patient status.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and post-surgical care.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT, and Speech Therapy.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
