Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Orthopedics/General Surgery Unit. You will care for orthopedic, general surgery and general medicine patients, aligning with our patient- and family-centered model and evidence-based practice.

This role supports a 0.70 FTE schedule with day/evening shifts and every third weekend. You bring RN licensure in Minnesota, BSN or ADN with 1 year of experience (new graduates with ADN allowed), and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with 1 year RN experience; new grads with ADN acceptable.
• Licensed RN in Minnesota; CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedics/General Surgery Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This Unit cares for orthopedic, general surgery and general medicine patients. In addition, the International Geriatric Fracture Society (IGFS) has certified Regions Hospital as one of the first Geriatric Fracture Care Programs in the United States.

We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Work Schedule:

0.70 Day/Evenings. Mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts. Every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• -Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• -Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• -Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• -CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• -Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• -BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• -One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
