Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to join the General Medicine Unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients with acute multi-system medical diagnoses, including post-surgical and dual diagnosis cases, in a Level I Trauma Center.

This role supports an orientation program and Shared Governance model, with a 0.70 Evening/Night schedule and every 3rd weekend. BSN or ADN with 1 year RN experience, MN RN license, and CPR/BLS required.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our General Medicine Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This general medicine unit has 30 patient beds between two units with a combination of private and semi-private rooms. We care for adult and geriatric patients who are admitted for acute multi-system medical diagnoses. The service also provides care for patients following surgical procedures and patients with dual medical and mental health diagnoses. Nurses who wish to work on this unit must develop clinical and compassionate practices in the care of patients with complex medical and mental health conditions.

Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Work Schedule:

0.70 Evening/Night. Every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
• ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
