Regions Hospital is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to join the General Medicine Unit, caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and mental health needs. The unit offers private and semi-private rooms across two beds and operates under a shared governance model with nurse residency programs.

The position is 0.70 FTE on Evening/Night shifts, with every third weekend required, and requires BSN or ADN with RN experience plus Minnesota RN licensure and CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an ADN.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our General Medicine Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This general medicine unit has 30 patient beds between two units with a combination of private and semi-private rooms. We care for adult and geriatric patients who are admitted for acute multi-system medical diagnoses. The service also provides care for patients following surgical procedures and patients with dual medical and mental health diagnoses. Nurses who wish to work on this unit must develop clinical and compassionate practices in the care of patients with complex medical and mental health conditions.

Work Schedule:

0.70 Evening/Night. Every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
• ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
