Job summary

Ascension is seeking an RN to join the Surgical Services team at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This full-time, rotating position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires Maryland RN licensure with OR experience.

You will function as scrub and circulator, assist surgeons, manage sterile technique, and ensure proper room prep and instrument sterilization. This role supports patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN licensure required before hire
• ALS within 6 months of hire
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• Hospital OR experience preferred

• Act as circulator with monitoring, documentation, and real-time communication.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute scrub functions, including selection and sterile handling of instrumentation and supplies.
• Execute circulator functions, including monitoring, documentation, and real-time communication.
• Partner with surgeons to facilitate hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and optimal patient positioning.
• Oversee the preparation and sterilizations of rooms, surgical instruments, and high-tech equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One Or More Of The Following Required

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
