Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced RN to join the CVPCU on the night shift. This full-time role includes a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and requires Maryland RN licensure and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, monitor patient conditions, and manage discharge planning to ensure safe transitions home.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current multi-state license (Compact State).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care with a focus on safety and quality.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, holistic patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time and document precisely as a critical link between patient and medical team.
• Advocate for comprehensive discharge planning to ensure safe transitions from hospital to home.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every action aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational excellence.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists to ensure patient care is seamless, holistic, and focused on the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time, acting as the vital link between the patient and the medical team through proactive communication and precise documentation.
• Advocate for the patient’s journey by initiating and managing comprehensive discharge plans, ensuring a safe and successful transition from hospital to home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or military CPR-First Aid training.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing at date of hire required.

• Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience required
