Job summary

Ascension's Emergency Department in Baltimore is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate care across disciplines in a high-acuity setting. This evening, full-time role focuses on ensuring a seamless patient journey, translating physician and nursing orders into attentive bedside care.

You will monitor and adjust personalized care plans, collaborate on discharge planning, and uphold safety and clinical excellence for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland before start date.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• PALS preferred.

• Empower patient recovery by implementing and monitoring personalized care plans, acting decisively on changes in condition to ensure safety and clinical excellence.
• Execute clinical precision by accurately carrying out physician and nursing orders, translating complex medical plans into direct, high-quality bedside care.
• Bridge the transition to home by collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate discharge needs, ensuring patients are supported long after they leave the unit.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Proven Clinical Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of Emergency Department specific experience.
• Schedule: 3:00pm-3:00am | Weekend and Holiday rotation.
