Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Carmel, IN is seeking a part-time RN to join Cardiac Services/Radiology. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and carry out orders with a focus on discharge planning.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and preferred ALS. Diploma in nursing is required, with imaging/radiology experience preferred. Schedule includes weekends and 7:00am start times.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or equivalent licensure is required.
• BLS and RN licensure must be obtained by hire date.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) is preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

• Prefer at least 1 or 2 years of current cardiac nurse experience in an imaging or radiology department.
